Senior Environment Artist

JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for passionate Senior Environment Artists who aspire to create realistic game environments and help bring life to game world of our IPs. The ideal candidate should have a complete portfolio demonstrating an exceptional eye for detail, experience with hi-res sculpting to game mesh workflow, PBR pipeline, and current game editor experience such as Unreal. They will work with the Lead Environment Artist to create high quality environments in keeping with the project’s Art Direction.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create amazing environments following your Lead and Art Director vision and workflows.
  • Respect the quality target and drive it along with the team including outsourcing work reviews and feedback.
  • Constantly review and implement your work using the game editor.
  • Ensuring environments meet specifications provided by all relevant departments.
  • Trouble shoot asset errors and immediately action on them.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong passion for making and playing games.
  • An up-to-date portfolio filled with examples of Environment Art work.
  • Solid skills in modeling and texturing using reference photographs and Concept Art materials.
  • Proficiency with industry standard modelling tools such as 3dsMax and/or Maya.
  • Proven experience working with Photoshop, Zbrush and Substance 3D.
  • Solid experience of PBR workflows.
  • Proven abilities in optimised 3D asset creation.
NICE TO HAVE
  • A strong understanding of shapes and composition.
  • A good understanding of the impact of Environment Art solutions on Level Design and game performances.
  • Solid experience working within Unreal Engine.
  • A mixture of hard surface and organic asset modelling skills.
  • Set dressing and beautification pass experience.
  • Lighting and Vfx experience.
